Semester public transport pass (Deutschlandsemesterticket)

Our university participates in the "Deutschlandsemesterticket", which is a semester public transport pass offered to our university at a reduced price. Our contractual partner is the Hamburger Verkehrsverbund (HVV). As the Deutschlandsemesterticket is a solidarity ticket, the purchase of the ticket is mandatory for all students according to the general terms and conditions of the university. The fees for the Germany semester ticket are charged in addition to the semester fees of the FH Wedel and are passed on to the Hamburg Transport Association.

The ticket is valid for the entire semester and can be used for any number of journeys (one person in 2nd class on local and regional transport) throughout Germany.

In the summer semester 2025, the ticket costs €174.60 per semester (equivalent to €29.10 per month). The pricing is based on the regular issue price of the Deutschlandticket of €58 per month, of which students pay 60 percent. As the price of the ticket is always set eight months in advance for an entire semester, the new price will only come into effect from the coming winter semester 2025. From winter semester 25/26, the price for the Deutschlandsemesterticket will be €208.80 (€34.80 per month).
